As President, Benners said he will move directly to align operations with those of DataOne’s parent-company, technology integrator GDT. He also said he will expand the company’s portfolio of fiber and copper cabling assemblies to include additional offerings such as custom cabinets, enclosures, transceivers, and memory. Benners, 27, is a newcomer to the world of fiber and data cable assembly. Prior to his role as President of DataOne, Benners served as Director of Launch Services for GDT. As Director of Launch, Benners led a group of 30 service operation professionals and was responsible for professional service proposals, travel, resource management, and change management for the company’s $500+ million data center and enterprise networking business. During his time as Director of Launch, he implemented business intelligence services including analytics to reduce unnecessary spend and increase billable hours across the delivery organization. Before his time as Director of Launch Services, Benners was in professional services sales for GDT. During that period, Benners succeeded in growing services sales across some of the company’s largest Fortune 500 accounts.
