Dallas, Texas – The days leading up to Christmas is a joyous time of year where families look forward to spending time together with loved ones. Children are ensuring they are on their best behavior in order to make it onto Santa’s “Good List” as they tell Santa their wishes.
Unfortunately, some patients of Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX are not fortunate enough to sit on Santa’s lap. Therefore, through the combined efforts of GDT, Cisco and Cook Children’s, they have brought Santa direct to the good boys and girls via the Cisco DX Series Unified Communications platform leveraging Jabber video calls. The Cisco DX80 Telepresence system from the North Pole connected Santa with young patients in their rooms. These children were able to interact with Santa and his elves sharing with him all of their secret wishes.
Cook Children’s Medical Center, GDT and Cisco hope these efforts have brought some smiles to the brave children and their parents this year making it a happy holiday for everyone.
