DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–General Datatech Cabling Manufacturing Division, a subsidiary of General Datatech, L.P. (GDT, www.gdt.com), has been certified to the ISO 9001: 2008 standard. The division, which produces a variety of complex cabling components and wiring assemblies, received its approval notification on November 12, 2010.

ISO (International Organization for Standardization), the world’s largest developer and publisher of international standards, is a network of the national standards institutes of 163 countries, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland that coordinates the system.
The GDT Cabling Manufacturing Division uses standard connectors that it then customizes according to customer specifications to produce more than 10,000 cabling assemblies each month. The ISO 9001 certification attests that, after an extensive audit, the GDT facility has in place specific processes and procedures that meet predefined ISO standards, such as a quality management system with specific documentation that records policies, objectives, and other required manufacturing controls. The certification shows that through this system, GDT has demonstrated its ability to consistently manufacture a product that meets customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements and to address customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system. The initial certification lasts for three years with an evaluation of the facility to be performed each year during the certification period.
