Keep reading to get to know Sushma!

How long have you been with GDT, and what does your role entail?

Sushma: I’ve been with GDT for almost three years, and it has been a great experience so far. I initially joined as a Network Engineer, later transitioned into the role of Associate CEM, and currently, I’m working as Senior Alliance Operations Support. In my current role, I focus on partner onboarding and offboarding, as well as certificate tracking, ensuring smooth operations and compliance within our alliance programs.

Can you describe your team, their role here at GDT, and their dynamics?

Sushma: My current team consists of talented and energetic colleagues—Kim Black, Hava Harrigan, and Sally White—led by Gladys Kline. We work closely together in the Alliance Partner Support function, where my role focuses on onboarding, offboarding, and certificate tracking.

Our team dynamic is very collaborative and supportive. Each member brings a unique strength, and we complement one another well. We maintain open communication, share knowledge freely, and step in to help each other when needed. This creates a positive and motivating environment, where we can work efficiently while also enjoying strong team spirit.

What goals or initiatives has your team focused on in 2025, and how do they support GDT’s broader mission?

Sushma: In 2025, our team focused on initiatives that strengthen GDT’s ability to scale efficiently, maintain compliance, and maximize value from our partner ecosystem. These priorities enable GDT to enhance operational excellence, capture greater value from our partnerships, and advance our broader mission of delivering sustainable growth and trusted outcomes for our clients.

What’s a recent win—big or small—that made you proud?

Sushma: I transitioned into my new Senior Alliance Operations Support role and am adapting to new responsibilities. Being able to step into that role with confidence and deliver smaller results, as I am still in the learning phase, has been a personal milestone for me.

Who or what inspires you in your career?

Sushma: What inspires me in my career is the drive to be the best version of myself. I’m naturally energetic and curious, and I’m always eager to explore new things. I believe I have a lot to contribute, but at the same time, there’s always so much more to learn. That balance of giving my best while continuing to grow is what keeps me motivated and inspired.

What’s one professional goal you’re currently working toward?

Sushma: While I aim to grow in several areas, my primary focus is on developing strong leadership skills. I’d like to take on a managerial role one day, where I can mentor and guide others—just as I’ve been fortunate to be supported throughout my journey.

What’s your favorite GDT core value, and how do you see it in action?

Sushma:My favorite GDT core value is Collaboration. I’ve seen firsthand how much stronger our outcomes are when we work together, share ideas, and support one another. In my role, collaboration plays a big part—whether it’s coordinating onboarding and offboarding or tracking certifications, the teamwork across different functions makes the process smoother and more effective. It’s inspiring to see how much we can accomplish when everyone contributes their strengths.

With many holidays approaching, what tradition or festival from India holds special meaning for you?

Sushma: One festival that holds special meaning for me is Diwali, the Festival of Lights. For me, it’s not just about the celebrations, but also about what it represents—bringing light into our lives, new beginnings, and togetherness with family and friends. I love the way it blends tradition with joy, from decorating with lamps to sharing sweets, and it always feels like a time of positivity and renewal.

Tell us more about yourself outside of work. What are your hobbies and interests?

Sushma: Outside of work, I spend a lot of time on my hobbies. I’m an artist who enjoys creating different illustrations—I’m still learning, so they’re not always perfect, but I love the process. I’m also a podcaster, where I share stories related to life, and I enjoy writing as well. Apart from that, I like to travel, so whenever there’s a plan for a trip, I’ll be the first one to say yes.

Thank you, Sushma, for sharing a little about yourself and for the role you play in making GDT a great place to work. Learn more about GDT’s vibrant culture and explore our career options by visiting Life at GDT.
