With a passion for learning, a knack for collaboration, and a love for cricket and good books outside of work, Sumit brings both skill and spirit to everything he does. Let’s get to know him a little better!

How long have you been with GDT, and what does your role entail?

Sumit: I have been with GDT for two years and currently serve as a WordPress Developer on the Marketing team. In this role, I am responsible for managing the company website and internal connect site and providing development support for various marketing initiatives. This includes creating and maintaining campaign-related assets such as landing page designs, email invitations, and workflow-based automation.

Can you describe your team, your team’s role here at GDT, and the dynamics of your team?

Sumit: As part of the Marketing team, we collaborate closely to execute campaigns focused on brand awareness, digital marketing, editorial and PR content, events, internal and external engagement, and partner marketing— all aimed at generating leads to support the sales team.

What has been your most memorable project or achievement here?

Sumit: One of my most memorable projects was leading the website revamp, during which I also gained expertise in HubSpot CRM. A key achievement from this project was optimizing the website to pass Google’s Core Web Vitals and achieving a 100% score on Google PageSpeed Insights. This significantly enhanced our user experience, improved SEO performance, and strengthened our overall digital presence.

Is there anything specific you look forward to in 2025 for your team’s goals & initiatives?

Sumit: In 2025, I’m enthusiastic about the opportunity to deliver even greater value to GDT by focusing on several key initiatives. These include designing and implementing marketing workflows and automation strategies to enhance the user journey, optimizing landing pages, forms, and CTAs within HubSpot to drive higher conversion rates, and working closely with the SEO team to strengthen and maintain our search performance. Additionally, I aim to improve the internal file sharing experience across the organization while staying up to date with the latest trends and innovations.

What skills or talents do you bring to your role that you’re particularly proud of?

Sumit: One of the key skills I bring to my role is a strong blend of development expertise. I’m particularly proud of my ability to bridge the gap between development and marketing by creating high-performing, user-friendly digital experiences. My proficiency in WordPress, HubSpot CRM, SharePoint, and marketing automation allows me to build and optimize web assets that support campaign goals and drive engagement. I take pride in being a collaborative team player who proactively contributes to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement.

Who or what inspires you in your career?

Sumit: What inspires me most in my career is the opportunity to learn continuously, take on new challenges, and grow professionally through those experiences. I find motivation in stepping outside of my comfort zone, expanding my skill set, and contributing to impactful projects that push me to evolve both technically and creatively.

What aspects of our organizational vision, mission, or values resonate with you?

Sumit: Collaboration is something that truly resonates with me. At GDT, many of our successes have resulted from strong teamwork and open communication. The exchange of ideas is essential for finding effective solutions, and the close collaboration between our U.S. and India teams has played a key role in overcoming challenges and driving meaningful results.

What advice would you give to someone new to our team?

Sumit: I believe in staying curious and organized, as well as continuously seeking opportunities to learn and improve. I value feedback and make a conscious effort to act on it constructively. My approach is to be proactive rather than reactive, foster strong collaboration, and consistently maintain a positive and professional attitude.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Sumit: I would love to travel to Dubai, as I’m drawn to its dynamic blend of innovation, culture, and global business environment.

Tell us more about yourself outside of work. What are your hobbies and interests?

Sumit: My hobbies include watching cricket, reading books, and listening to music.
