How long have you been with GDT, and what does your role entail?
Anbarasi: I have been with GDT since Feb 2022, and I am an HR Generalist.
Where did you grow up, and what brought you to your current city?
Anbarasi: I grew up in a small town in Tamil Nadu (India), but my parents had a progressive mindset. They encouraged me to be independent and explore new things. Because of this, I moved to Bangalore for my studies with the determination that I can and will do it.
What drew you to this field, and how did you get started?
Anbarasi: I had a background in technology, but I was more interested in working directly with people. My sister, who works in HR, inspired me with her ability to handle situations and people. When I had the chance to pursue a technology education, I decided to switch paths and completed an MBA in HR instead. I’m happy I followed my passion. I began my career as a recruiter, transitioned to operations, and now I’m working as an HR generalist.
Can you describe your team and its dynamics?
Anbarasi: Our HR team is made up of unique personalities. Everyone is enthusiastic and talented, creating a stress-free work environment. We work collaboratively, teach each other, and grow together. I’m very happy to be part of a team that is always ready to help and appreciate each other.
What professional accomplishments or projects are you most proud of so far?
Anbarasi: One of my proudest professional accomplishments is making new employees feel comfortable and valued on their very first day. It’s incredibly rewarding to receive appreciation from them for this effort.
What do you enjoy most about working at GDT, and what motivates you to come to work every day?
Anbarasi: I enjoy working on new projects every day and appreciate the recognition and accountability that come with successful outcomes. Working from the office allows me to meet many employees, and seeing everyone working energetically boosts my own energy. I prefer interacting with employees directly rather than through online calls.

Anbarasi: Collaboration and Accountability: I enjoy working collaboratively and take full responsibility for my contributions, which leads to successful outcomes.
What’s a fun fact about you that most people may not know?
Anbarasi: One interesting fact about me is that while most people get tired from traveling and being stuck in traffic, I actually enjoy it. I listen to songs and call someone I can chat and laugh with, which makes the time fly by without even realizing it.
Where is your favorite place to be or travel to?
Anbarasi: I would like to visit Turkey to ride in a Hot Air Balloon and explore the cave churches and monasteries
What advice would you give someone just starting their career in your field?
Anbarasi: Accept and embrace feedback to advance your career. There’s always something new to learn every day, so keep expanding your knowledge and stay curious. Continuously refine your work and strive for satisfaction in everything you do.
