GDT, a leading international IT solutions provider, and Advanced Solutions, a provider of managed IT operational services, today announced the merger of the two companies. Effective immediately, the combined organization will conduct business in Dallas, Texas as General Datatech, L.P., commonly referred to as GDT.
The combined company will be privately held and operated under the GDT brand. Vinod Muthuswamy, President of GDT said, “We have decided to merge with Advanced Solutions because we believe that a consolidated organization will allow us to offer a wider portfolio of advanced technology services. Our customers will benefit from the additional engineering and technical resources from within the combined organization”.
Over the last year, Advanced Solutions has grown 300% in the managed services space launching a state-of-the-art NOC & SOC facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Combined the companies have more than 600 technology professionals. As a regionally undisputed market leader in the IT space, the new GDT will continue to drive technology innovation while providing customers with world-class managed services.
