Dallas, TX – Dallas-based technology integrator GDT today announced Michael Souza has been named Director of Sales—West, effectively immediately. As Director of Sales for the western United States, Souza will be focused on expanding GDT’s customer base in these technology-centric regions: Silicon Valley, Southern California, Seattle, WA. and Phoenix, AZ.
Souza, a United States Air Force veteran, brings years of sales and technical experience to his new role, having worked with some of the largest corporations in the high-tech sector. He’s held several executive leadership positions in the Bay Area, as well, and offers a unique perspective, having served as both integration partner and customer.
Prior to joining GDT, Souza spent 11 years at FusionStorm, Inc., a $700M+ solutions provider. For the last 8 years at FusionStorm, Souza led worldwide sales, marketing, customer service and consulting engineering. Prior to FusionStorm, Souza worked in the telecommunications industry for 16 years in various roles. Souza got his start in the technology field while in United States Air Force, where he worked as an Electronics Officer.
Souza attended The University of California at Berkeley, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds an Associate of Science degree in Communications-Electronics.
