Meet William Hansen, a delivery manager whose leadership extends far beyond coordinating people, projects, customers, and operations. For the past three years and eight months, William has brought a collaborative spirit, steady commitment, and positive attitude to GDT. He is always willing to lend a hand whether supporting a complex customer initiative or helping with something as simple as setting up for an office event. His willingness to help and contagious optimism make a meaningful difference to the people around him every day.
How long have you been with GDT, and what does your role entail?
William: I began working with GDT in January 2023. In my current role as a delivery manager, I coordinate people, projects, customers, and operational delivery. My efforts ensure that our services are delivered and managed successfully, within scope, and met with the quality and standards which our customers and organization expect.
Can you describe your team, your team’s role at GDT, and what makes your team dynamic and impactful?
William: I am fortunate to be supported by a team of proactive managers and talented engineers who are knowledgeable and fully accountable for their activities. The GDT team understands that we are an extension of our customers, and their success is directly impacted by the support we deliver.
What goals or initiatives are your team focused on in 2026, and how do they support GDT’s broader mission?
William: In 2026, our team is focused on the delivery of automated workflows. Implementing automation will allow for greater delivery of services, directly supporting GDT’s broader mission to provide scalable IT solutions to optimize services, operations, and business growth.
Can you share a recent win you’re especially proud of?
William: We recently worked closely with the Professional Services team to relocate and upgrade a major client to a cloud-managed network architecture. This work successfully minimized their operational downtime while providing centralized, AI-driven visibility that optimized their entire multi-site infrastructure. The work we delivered involved many hours of activities during the evening and weekend hours, with the team fully committed to successfully delivering the upgrades.
Who or what inspires you in your career, and why?
William: I am continually inspired by our dedicated engineers who work with such dedication and commitment to serve our customers. They deliver our solutions with a relentless drive and commitment, as well as the ability to master complex, evolving technologies to make that happen.
What’s one professional goal you’re currently working toward, and how are you approaching it?
William: As a delivery manager, one of my current professional goals is to master advanced data modeling in application tools like Excel and visual storytelling in PowerPoint to smoothly synthesize complex reports from tools like ServiceNow and Logic Monitor, into high-impact, executive-ready presentations.
What’s your favorite GDT core value, and how do you see it in action—either in your work or across the company?
William: My favorite GDT core value is “We embrace collaboration,” because I see it in action every day as our cross-functional team of engineers and managers proactively share knowledge and solutions. We work as a team and rally together to support one another, turning complex client challenges into shared victories.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
William: If I could travel anywhere, I would choose to visit Machu Picchu and Arequipa to immerse myself in the stunning history and culture of Peru, which holds a deeply personal meaning for me since it is my wife’s homeland.
What do you like to do outside of work?
William: Outside of work, my favorite interests include spending quality time with my wife and kids, traveling to Clearwater, Florida, playing competitive basketball, participating in continuing education classes, and traveling to vibrant and energetic locations.
