Dallas, TX – Dallas-based technology and systems integrator GDT announced today that Eric Power has been named Vice President of Sales, Central United States, effectively immediately. In his new role, Power will be focused on expanding GDT’s customer base from the southern tip of Texas to the central region’s northernmost markets.
Power joins GDT after almost twenty (20) successful years at Cisco as both the top performing account manager in US Commercial sales and the eight-year leader of Cisco’s top performing Mid-Market sales team. In addition, he was requested to conduct front-line leadership training for Cisco’s US Commercial Segment in each of his last five (5) years, and to expand the program globally via training videos.

The Dallas Business Journal named Power to its prestigious “Top 40 Under 40 Dallas Executives” list due to both his professional success and considerable efforts outside the office. Power has coached a combined fifty (50) seasons of youth sports and has been a Boy Scouts of America leader for over ten (10) years. In addition, he has served as President and spokesperson for Strikes Against Cancer, a non-profit organization that produces baseball tournaments throughout North Texas that donates money for each strike thrown to help families fighting cancer and to fund cancer research.
Power has been married for over twenty (20) years to his wife Aleisha, and they have two (2) sons, Ethan and Coleton. Power holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
